J's Birthday Trip to Vancouver Pt 1

This morning I got up and printed our boarding passes and I discovered that for the first time since joining the Trusted Traveler program, I actually was selected for TSA Pre-check! Whoo- hoo I was so excited! I was finally going to zip through security. We get to the airport, I hear the exciting three beeps which scream Pre-check! Guess what- it's 5am and the security line is all but empty so they don't have a separate Pre-check line open. I slink sullenly through with my son, shoes in a basket, jacket in a bin and make our way through to the gate *sigh*.
